Concierge Assistant (Part Time)

Reports to: Artist Concierge



The Concierge Assistant’s primary responsibility is to provide excellent service to all guest artists and their staff, patrons, donors, and internal staff at the Center for the Performing Arts and the Great American Songbook Foundation (CPA/GASF). Responsibilities include providing hospitality, serving meals, and transporting guests or running errands in rental/company vehicles as required. Work hours are variable, including weeknight and weekend shift coverage.

Essential Functions

  1. Provide excellent service to guest artists and their staff
  2. Assist with meal service and clean-up
  3. Serve as Runner (driver) for designated tours and events to collect items and materials needed
  4. Perform tasks defined by the Artist Concierge when requested
  5. Transport artists and/or their staff, as needed

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School Diploma
  2. Experience required of working in a performing art and/or event environment or related field
  3. Valid Driver’s License with approved driving record


Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional performing arts venue environment. This role occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  1. Ability to speak and listen clearly
  2. Ability to stand for long hours
  3. Ability to climb stairs
  4. Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, good hearing, and dexterity
  5. Ability to bend, push, lift, carry, pull, and move up to 40 pounds


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is an occasional part-time, non-exempt position that may require working weekdays, nights and weekends. Flexibility is required.



No long distance or overnight travel is expected for this position.
