Come celebrate the “King of Swing” as one of today’s most accomplished clarinetists pays tribute to a personal hero: the late clarinet master, bandleader and jazz pioneer Benny Goodman. U.K. native Julian Bliss is renowned equally for his classical and jazz-related work, appearing in recital at the world’s top festivals and as a soloist with a wide range of international orchestras.
The septet, founded by Bliss in 2012, has specialized in Goodman-related material but also is known for its renditions of Latin music from Brazil and Cuba and its original arrangements of Gershwin classics such as “I Got Rhythm” and “Embraceable You.”
