Canadian singer-songwriter Royal Wood has drawn comparisons to Randy Newman, Tom Waits and the Beatles with tunes that draw from British pop, Tin Pan Alley’s melodic traditions and the Southern California folk-rock vibe. He has received two Juno Award nominations and an iTunes Songwriter of the Year title. His new, 10th album is Ever After the Farewell, inspired by life events including his recent marriage and the loss of his father. The Outside Music release was recorded in London with producer and songwriter Jamie Scott (Ed Sheeran, One Direction) on a console once used by the Fab Four at Abbey Road Studios.
