“They say the neon lights are bright on Broadway.” A fusion of ballet, modern and jazz dance, the Broadway style of movement can advance plotlines and character development in a way that dialogue alone cannot. In this Dance Discovery session, we’ll learn a little about the history of Broadway dance, then we’ll get our Fosse on and try out a few movements and steps. We might even try out some of the same moves Ben Vereen danced in his numerous Broadway appearances.
Suggested for ages 12 through adult. No partner or previous dancing experience is necessary to register.
Following this session, consider attending An Evening with Ben Vereen on Jan. 18.
