Fifteen years ago we were introduced to an unlikely cinematic hero, Napoleon Dynamite. To this day, we can’t forget his surprising freestyle dance at the movie’s climax – a scene that helped cement the film as a pop culture classic!

In this Dance Discovery session, we will learn Napoleon’s dance routine; mastering his classic moves “Backwards Wolverine Claw Shuffle,” “Shoot That Basketball Without Looking,” “Bird Flap” and “Jazzy Slither.” Bring your ChapStick, tots and “Vote for Pedro” shirt to learn some impressive new skills!

Suggested for ages 12 through adult. No partner or previous dancing experience is necessary to register.

Following this session, consider attending the Napoleon Dynamite Film Screening and Actor Q&A on Dec. 5.

Appropriate attire: Clothing that is comfortable to move in, with dance shoes or non-rubber-soled shoes. No sandals, please.
