Simply a waltz that keeps going around and around
Like a merry-go-round In the spring
With the music swaying
I start to dream
Till my heart is yearning to sing
And so go the lyrics of Edith Piaf’s “Simply a Waltz.” Piaf was one of France’s most famous singers, songwriters and actors, known for performances that touch the soul even if you don’t understand French. This Dance Discovery session will prepare you for the Center’s tribute to this incredible cabaret performer – Piaf! The Show. Using her hauntingly beautiful music as our accompaniment, we will learn to dance the French Waltz.
Suggested for ages 12 through adult. No partner or previous dancing experience is necessary to register.
Following this session, consider attending Piaf! The Show on March 28.
