Embark on An Austrian Odyssey, a lush and expansive musical journey into one of the great masterpieces of the classical genre, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125. Beethoven’s final symphony is instantly recognizable by audiences, full of expressive beauty and culminating in a joyous chorus of Friedrich Schiller’s poem, “Ode to Joy.” Accompanying Maestro Janna Hymes and the musicians of the Carmel Symphony Orchestra are the Anderson University Choirs, led by Dr. Richard Sowers and guest soloists Colleen Daly, Ann McMahon Quintero, Matthew Vickers, and Branch Fields.
