JazzTalk is a series of informal discussions about the masters of jazz and their enduring legacy, with hosts Todd Williams, nationally known saxophonist and music educator, and Doug Tatum, Vice President of Programming at the Center for the Performing Arts. Viewers can join in via Zoom and pose questions after the discussion.
The Standards of Jazz The Hosts will discuss tunes that have become "jazz standards" - the popular songs, show tunes and other compositions that have appeared and reappeared throughout the history of jazz. They will explore compositional techniques, chord progressions and other features that have heightened the appeal to jazz musicians and listeners alike.
As the pandemic continues, ticket buyers agree to follow all safety protocols in the Center's venues, including face coverings and physical distancing. Buyers also accept responsibility for any risk associated with the visit.
