Joshua Powell and the Great Train Robbery
Indianapolis-based songwriter Joshua Powell crafts a dreamy and literate brand of psychedelic indie rock, with songs that are both socially conscious and spiritually turbulent. Having played over 900 shows in 42 states, Powell blends the narrative richness of American folk with a dose of hallucinatory swirl and a ghost note of 2000s-vintage bedroom indie style, all highlighted by purposeful, kaleidoscopic poetry sung in an ethereal falsetto.
