General Ukulele Class
This four-week class is for anyone who already plays the ukulele and wants to expand their ukulele repertoire. The focus of the activity-based class will be on learning new songs and talking about different ways to interpret and perform them.
Recommended for ages 14 and up.
Ukuleles will be available to borrow in class; however, they cannot be taken home. If you would like to bring your own, please make sure it is a soprano, concert, or tenor uke tuned gCEA
*Special thanks to Sam Ash Music store for loaning each student a ukulele. Students will also enjoy a 15% discount on ukuleles and gear from Sam Ash.
About the Instructor
David Berling is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in ukulele, guitar and bass who has crafted his skills in performing, teaching and songwriting for over 18 years. His musical influences range from early classical arrangements to the latest releases, with a particular affinity for the classic rock guitar of the 1960s and ’70s. He studied classical guitar under John Alvarado at IUPUI and Maja Radovanlija at Indiana University and has performed hundreds of gigs in a range of styles throughout the Indianapolis area. Berling has many years of experience in teaching students of all ages.
