Polish Wieniawski Philharmonic Orchestra

Principal Conductor Wojciech Rodek leads the acclaimed Polish orchestra, founded in 1944, on its first U.S. tour. Featuring violin soloist Sara Dragan, winner of many international competitions, the program will include works of Rossini, Wieniawski and Schubert.
Opening works: Rossini, Overture to La Gazza Ladra (The Thieving Magpie)
Concertos: Wieniawski, Violin Concerto No. 2 (Sara Dragan, violin soloist)
Closing works: Schubert, Symphony No. 9 ‘The Great’
