One of the innovations caused by the pandemic was the number of new works for small combinations of musicians, and we will open this concert with our favorite of this genre: Giovanni Santos’ Miniatures for Chamber Wind Ensemble. The IWS was part of the commissioning consortium for this interesting and exciting new work. Three of our members will be featured as soloists and Gordon Jacob’s chamber masterpiece Old Wine in New Bottles will be another feature.
