2022 event sales begin Nov. 12

Based in Boston, the Balourdet Quartet earned the Grand Prize at the 2021 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition and the Gold Medal at the 2020 Fischoff Competition at Notre Dame University. They will be joined Jan. 20 by American Pianists Awards finalist Dominic Cheli.

CARMEL, Ind. – Tickets for individual events in the second half of the 2021-2022 Center Presents Season at the Center for the Performing Arts will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12.
Sponsored by Allied Solutions, the season’s 2022 performances include violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman, jazz diva Diana Krall, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, and tributes to George Michael, the Beatles, Ray Charles and Edith Piaf. These shows, which also include a number of family-oriented and international performers, have been available by subscription only.
New to the schedule are:
- A Jan. 20 performance by the Boston-based Balourdet Quartet, joined by pianist Dominic Cheli for a program of Beach, Brahms, Couperin, Schulhoff and Clara Schumann. Cheli was a finalist in this year’s American Pianists Awards. The quartet earned the Grand Prize at the 2021 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition and the Gold Medal at the 2020 Fischoff Competition at Notre Dame University.
- An April 1 performance by singer-actress Vanessa Williams, featuring pop hits and Great American Songbook standards; and
- An April 27 appearance by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, performing classic material from the British progressive rock band.

Currently at the Center, all patrons 12 and older must show proof of COVID vaccination or a negative test taken within 72 hours of the performance. The Center also requires masks or facial coverings to be worn at all times in the venues, except when actively eating or drinking. About the Center for the Performing Arts
The mission of the nonprofit Center for the Performing Arts is to engage and inspire the Central Indiana community through enriching arts experiences. Its campus in Carmel, Indiana, includes the 1,500-seat Palladium concert hall, the 500-seat Tarkington proscenium theater and the black-box Studio Theater. The Center presents and hosts hundreds of events each year, including the Center Presents performance series, featuring the best in classical, jazz, pop, rock, country, comedy and other genres. Educational and experiential programming for all ages includes children’s concerts and camps, book clubs, lectures, and classes in music and dance.
