General Information

Accessibility

Accessible parking spaces are available along the South Loop drive between the Palladium and the Tarkington. Beginning one hour prior to most Palladium performances, valet parking is available at the West Lobby entrance. The valet service is $15 or complimentary for Jaguars and Land Rovers.

 

  • Arrival: Street level and elevator access is available in the Palladium’s West Lobby, located at the 3rd Avenue SW entrance, and is also available in the East Lobby located near the Monon Greenway.  

 

  • Wheelchair accessible seating: Accessible seating is located in various sections of the venues. Special seating arrangements may be made in advance by calling the Fifth Third Bank Box Office at 317.843.3800.

 

Assisted-Listening Devices

Assisted-listening devices are available free of charge at the lower Salon level at both sides of the coat check. A refundable deposit is required.

 

Children
Children 4 and older are welcome to attend performances. All patrons must have tickets and be able to sit quietly throughout the performance. Children of all ages are welcome at Family Shows.

 

Coat Check

Coat check services are available at the west side of the lower Salon level near the restrooms at the Palladium. Coat room facilities are also available at the Tarkington and the Studio Theater.

 

Conduct and Liability: The Center for the Performing Arts (CPA), including the Palladium, the Tarkington and the Studio Theater, reserves the right to refuse admission to, or remove from the building, any person who fails to comply with CPA policies, including those whose conduct is disorderly, is disrespectful, or interferes with other patrons’ ability to enjoy the performance.  By using their tickets for admission, patrons expressly assume all risks associated with attending the event, acknowledge and agree that they may be photographed in public areas of the CPA campus, and release the CPA and its agents from any liability resulting from the use of such photographs.

 

Electronic Devices

Use of cellular phones, pagers, cameras and recording devices is strictly prohibited in the theater. Please deactivate the sounds on any electronic device to avoid disrupting the performance.

 

Emergency Procedure

In the event of an emergency, an announcement will explain the best method of exit. Please note the multiple red exit signs. For your safety, please exit in a calm and orderly manner.

 

Fees

Telephone and online purchases for Center Presents, Resident Company and rental events include a per-ticket handling fee. Subscription purchases include a per-order handling fee.

 

Firearms

Guests are prohibited from bringing weapons onto the premises. The Center for the Performing Arts does not provide weapon lockers. Weapons may not be checked in by any staff or security personnel. Guests found in possession of weapons will be asked to immediately remove the items from the premises. Guests who refuse to comply with such a request will be removed from the premises.

 

Food and Beverage

Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the venues. Concessions are available in the lobbies before the performance and through intermission. The Southeast lobby bar features sandwiches, candy, soda, coffee, premium wine, specialty beer and domestic beer. 

 

Late Arrival Policy

Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of house management. Video and audio simulcast of the performance is available in the lobbies for your convenience while waiting.

 

No Smoking

The Center for the Performing Arts campus is smoke-free. Tobacco, cigars and e-cigarettes are not permitted. Thank you for not smoking.

 

Parking

Free self-parking is offered in the secure, on-site garage located south of the Palladium. Enter the Center’s parking garage off 3rd Avenue SW.

 

Prohibited Items

For your safety, metal detectors are located at all entrances. Guests may be subject to visual inspection of person, parcels, bags, containers and/or clothing capable of concealing prohibited items. Guests may refuse inspections; however, management reserves the right to refuse entry. See list of prohibited items.

 

Refund Policy

All sales are final, with no refunds. All programs, artists, dates, times and prices are subject to change. The Center for the Performing Arts, www.TheCenterPresents.org, is the official authorized ticket service provider. The Center is not responsible for tickets obtained through other sources and cannot refund or exchange tickets purchased from brokers or secondary ticket resellers.

 

Weather

The Center generally does not cancel performances due to inclement weather.

 

Have tickets, but can't attend? Exchange or donate:
If you are unable to use your tickets for a Center Presents performance, consider exchanging them for another performance or, if you are a subscriber or donor, returning them as a tax-deductible donation. Exchange fees and upgrade charges may apply. Some performances are not eligible for exchange. Please contact the Fifth Third Bank Box Office at least 48 hours prior to the performance for ticket exchanges or ticket donations, and please have the tickets in hand.
