The Red Hot Chilli Pipers
The Tarkington // Sunday, Mar 23, 7pm ET
Formed in 2002 in Scotland, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers have become a global phenomenon with their unique fusion of rocked-up bagpipes and clever covers of popular songs from all genres. Their “bagrock” sound mixes traditional pipe tunes like “The Flowers of Scotland” and “The Hills of Argyll” with more recent anthems such as Queen’s “We Will Rock You” and Coldplay’s “Clocks.” A nine-piece ensemble of pipes, guitars, keyboards and drums, they gained international fame after winning top prize on the U.K. TV talent show When Will I Be Famous in 2007.
