Breakin’ Classical: A Fusion of Dance and Symphony

Repertoire for the evening includes “Hoe Down” by Aaron Copland, “Hungarian Dance No. 6” by Johannes Brahms, “L’Arlesienne Suite No. 2” by Georges Bizet and other timeless pieces that will have you tapping along.
Mélisse Brunet
Mélisse Brunet is a French American conductor lauded for her work with orchestras across the United States and beyond. She was featured in the David Letterman-backed film “Maestra,” which features five incredible women from around the world who are boldly breaking glass ceilings in the male-dominated world of orchestral conducting.
