Celebrate the Lunar New Year and Lantern Festival with the Carmel Symphony Orchestra and friends
Join us at the Palladium for a glowing evening of music as the Carmel Symphony Orchestra celebrates the traditional Chinese festivals of the Lunar New Year and the Lantern Festival. Featuring pianist Daniel Epstein, the first American to perform the famed Yellow River Concerto in 1973 with Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra, just before their historic tour of China, the evening promises a night of cultural celebration and musical brilliance.
Also on this program will be Claude Debussy's beloved favorite, Claire de Lune and his gorgeous symphonic poem, La Mer.
Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor Joel Smirnoff, the CSO will take you on a musical journey that celebrates rich cultural traditions.
Why Attend? Pre Concert Activities provide Cultural Entertainment and Community Unity
In collaboration with Carmel’s Chinese Sister Cities organization and the International Center of Indianapolis, pre concert activities and this lively evening will feature cultural entertainment such as the Chinese traditional lion dance.
After Party Tickets Available
Meet & Greet the soloists and musicians for this performance at the CSO After Party in the Brham Founders Club. Tickets are available as a $25 add-on to the regular ticket price, or available as a season benefit to Gold Level donors to the Carmel Symphony Orchestra.
