HR Generalist (Part time)

Position Purpose

The part-time Human Resources Generalist (20 hours per week) provides support in the day-to-day operations of the human resources department. The Human Resources Generalist supports HR practices and objectives that provide a people-first, high-performance culture.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Recruiting

  • Post Jobs on multiple sites and communicate postings with Social Media Manager
  • Schedule virtual and in-person interviews.
  • Co-manage the candidate experience through the Paylocity Applicant tracking module, ensuring clear communication and timely feedback.
  • Participate in diversity job fairs and recruitment events with VP to promote ASCPA and GASF as an employer of choice.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment.

 

HR Project Work

  • HRIS (Paylocity) Data Entry
  • Job Description Development-Collaborate with department heads to update current job descriptions that reflect the roles and responsibilities of positions across the organization.
  • Maintain organized documentation for all HR projects and compliance activities.
  • Compile data and prepare reports and presentations.
  • Coordinate new employee orientations

Education and Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.

  • 5 -7 years working in a mid or senior level HR position that included recruiting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, SHRM Certification preferred.
  • Current knowledge of labor and employment laws.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment software and applicant tracking systems. Paylocity a plus
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and other software applications necessary to perform essential job functions.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position includes no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, with one day per week in the office, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc. and requires accountability for our core values of Inclusion, Excellence, Collaboration, Integrity and Innovation.

  • Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, hearing and dexterity

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time, non-exempt position, with eligibility to participate in the 401K plan and Employee Assistance Program. 20 Hours per week, four days a week, typically three days remote and one day in the office, 9:30 -1:30PM, scheduled around department needs.

 

Travel

No travel is required for this position.
