Samantha Fish to headline blues-rock blowout

CARMEL, Ind. – Guitarist-vocalist Samantha Fish will lead a three-act blues and rock showcase in December at Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts.

 

Bluesman Cedric Burnside and indie rocker Jon Spencer are joining Fish for the third annual Shake ’Em on Down Tour, which takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Payne & Mencias Palladium.

 

Tickets starting at $36 will be available starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, online at TheCenterPresents.org, by phone at (317) 843-3800, and in person at the Payne & Mencias Palladium’s Fifth Third Bank Box Office, 1 Carter Green, Carmel. A portion of every ticket purchase supports Allied Solutions Center’s educational and experiential programs for all ages. The concert is part of the Printing Partners Encore Series and the 2025-2026 Center Presents Season sponsored by Allied Solutions.

 

Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, Fish is a dynamic and versatile performer who mixes blues with rock, funk and soul. She topped the Billboard blues chart with her 2015 album Wild at Heart and won the Blues Music Association’s Contemporary Female Artist of the Year title for her 2017 album Belle of the West. Her acclaimed 2025 album Paper Doll is the first studio recording with her regular touring band.

 

Burnside is a guitarist and vocalist with a strong musical pedigree as the son of blues drummer Calvin Jackson and grandson of Mississippi blues legend R. L. Burnside. He has earned multiple Grammy nominations and won in the Best Traditional Blues Album category with his 2021 album I Be Trying.

 

Jon Spencer is a singer, songwriter and guitarist best known for blending blues, punk and garage rock with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, which recorded and toured with R.L. Burnside. He also is a founding member of the indie bands Pussy Galore, Boss Hog and Heavy Trash.
