CARMEL, Ind. – Southern-fried singer-songwriter JJ Grey and his band Mofro will make their debut appearance at Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, Feb. 22.
The 7:30 p.m. performance at the Payne & Mencias Palladium is part of the Printing Partners Encore Series and the Center Presents Season sponsored by Allied Solutions. Tickets starting at $36 will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, by phone at (317) 843-3800 or in person at the Payne & Mencias Palladium’s Fifth Third Bank Box Office, 1 Carter Green, Carmel.
From his early days playing juke joints in Jacksonville, Florida, to selling out some of the world’s top venues and festivals, JJ Grey has always delivered his honest truths. Starting with his 2001 debut album, Blackwater, he has continued releasing deeply moving, masterfully written, funkified rock and front-porch Southern soul music. With his 10th album, Olustee (2024), Grey is back, singing personal stories with universal themes of redemption, rebirth, hard luck and inner peace.
