"Shop small" while social distancing

Times like these make us realize the importance of community and supporting our neighbors. Our friends at Carmel City Center – where more than 25 local retail, service and restaurant businesses are devoted to serving the community – encourage everyone to remember the value of shopping local. Even from a distance.

You can still enjoy the convenience of carryout and curbside pickup from Divvy, Graeter's Ice Cream and Books & Brews. Many City Center merchants are offering free shipping and special promotions via social media and their online shops, offering the latest trends in fashion, home décor, bath & body, lingerie, jewelry, gifts and more. Help your favorite business by purchasing a gift card to use later, give them a shout-out on social media and continue to shop small when you can. Visit www.CarmelCityCenter.com for the full listing of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Get ready for #SongbookTriviaTuesday!

Calling all trivia fans! Our friends at the Great American Songbook Foundation are hosting a weekly #SongbookTriviaTuesday on Facebook. Last week’s inaugural event honored Miss Peggy Lee's centennial and forthcoming induction into the Songbook Hall of Fame. This week? Test your knowledge on the legendary singer-actress, Judy Garland.

Here’s how it works: there are five questions about each week’s choice artist, composer or lyricist. The first person to answer all five questions correctly will receive a personal shout out on the Songbook Foundation’s Facebook page as the Songbook Trivia Champion.

All levels of Songbook aficionados are welcome. You don’t have to be an expert to play! #SongbookTriviaTuesday is a chance to learn about an artist you don’t know much about, or the perfect opportunity to take a trip down memory lane with the timeless voices and melodies that make up your life’s soundtrack. Join the Songbook Foundation every Tuesday night on their Facebook page!

For the little ones

Miss Michelle of ShooBeeLoo Music and Movement is hosting weekly interactive music classes on Facebook Live!

This is an onine adaptation of our Child & Adult Music Class at the Center. Tune into the ShooBeeLoo Facebook page on Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. for the live class, or watch the recording later. Children ages 10 months to 5years will enjoy, but we're not afraid to admit that many of the grown-ups on staff at the Center were bopping along, too!

Broadway – at home!

Playbill put together this fantastic resource of 15 different Broadway plays and musicals to watch from home. Check it out!
