Join us for an unforgettable evening as the Indianapolis Youth Orchestra takes the stage with special guest Michelle Cann, American Piano Awards Artistic Partner. This concert will showcase the talents of all four IYO ensembles – Prelude, Concert, Philharmonic, and Symphony Orchestras – as we present a vibrant program of orchestral music.
The highlight of the evening features the IYO Symphony Orchestra performing alongside Michelle Cann in two powerhouse works for piano and orchestra: George Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue and Florence Price’s brilliant Piano Concerto in One Movement. From the jazz-infused rhythms of Gershwin to the groundbreaking voice of Florence Price, this program promises to inspire and uplift audiences of all ages.
